An Enlightening Session by Oncowin Cancer Center – Pink October Initiative

As part of the Pink October awareness campaign, Oncowin Cancer Center organized a special Google Meeting on October 24, 2024, focusing on “Managing Treatment Side Effects in Breast Cancer Patients.”

The session was conducted by two renowned experts:

• Dr. Gaurang Modi, Cancer Specialist, who shed light on the medical management of treatment side effects and the importance of timely interventions during cancer therapy.

• Dr. Dipali Vaghela, Cancer Rehabilitation and Lymphedema Specialist, who emphasized the vital role of rehabilitation and lymphedema care in improving patients’ quality of life after breast cancer treatment.

During this interactive one-hour session, both specialists discussed practical approaches for handling side effects related to chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery. They highlighted the importance of holistic care, patient awareness, and early management strategies to ensure better recovery and long-term well-being.
